VIII. About Competition

1. This relay marathon will be held the same time as Shaoxing International Marathon, and comply with these rules.

2. Roll-call: All participants please check in during roll call time, 4 from each team must present.The 2nd to the 4th relay members of each team would be carried to designated place to get ready.For those participants absent when roll call, their results would not be accepted by the LOC and are disqualified in any ranking.(See more notices about roll call time and place on website/wechat platform.)

3. Start order: The 1st replay member will start at the same time as those professional runners of Shaoxing International Marathon. See related rules for more reference.

4. About Timing

1) Reacting timing system is used.Timing chips are reacted to work once runners pass the start line. Only the timing chips distributed by the LOC are accepted, which are disposable.

 2) Runners must go through all timing carpets on the ground one by one, which are respectively placed at the START, every 10km point and the FINISH. Any split time missing at any one timing point would be considered invalid, even having finished the race within cut-off time.

5. About Results

On the race day, each team must have 4 runners, and the 1st of each team must be a females.In each team, the first 3 runners would finish10km respectively and the last one would completes 12.195km, keeping the total results within 6 hours 15 mins (gun time result), and without any split time missed. In case of split time missing, or absence of any one runner in each team, then there would be no rankings for the team. The action of passing relay sticks have to be finished in designated areas of 10km, 20km and 30km, and relay belts must be worn during running.

6.Clothes Deposit

There is a special area for relay marathon participants. Please follow instructions to according to relay series orders. For more details, please refer to the Rules and Regulations of Sleemon Shaoxing International Marathon 2019, and Official Guidelines. 

IX. About Participation

1. Age requirement:

All participants must be over 18 (born before Dec.31, 2001).

Physical Requirement

Marathon is a heavily loaded, high-intensive and long-distance sport, and is also a high-risk competitive event, with high requirements on participants' physical condition. Participants ought to be in physical health with the basis of long-term participation in long-distance running exercise or training. The  LOC recommends that all participants shall undergo a medical examination (including ECG examination) at the county level or above in the past year, and conduct self-assessment in conjunction with the inspection reports to confirm that their physical conditions are fit for long-distance running before registering for the competition. Anyone who has any of the following diseases/conditions is not permitted to participate, and shall bear all the consequences and legal liabilities if not obey these rules:

i) Congenital and rheumatic heart diseases;   

ii) Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;   

iii) Myocarditis and other cardiac diseases;   

iv) Coronary artery disease and serious cardiac arrhythmia;   

v) Hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia diabetes mellitus;   

vi) Influenza two weeks prior to the race;   

vii) Pregnancy;   

viii) Other diseases unsuitable for sports.

2. About Registration

Up to 10 teams are accepted.(5 members the most in each team, and 4 of them will participate in the race,and should be at least one female.)

3. Participants could only enter the race by being invited, and please fill in registration forms as request.No individual entry.

4. Registration fees：500RMB/team.

② The total results come from each 4 relay member’s results.The shorter time, the better. Top 3 best results would be awarded. All results are subjected to net time.

According to Chinese laws,20% tax fees would be charged by the country. The LOC would deduct it firstly on behalf when distributing prize money.

Only finishers within cut-off time can be awarded medals. The cut-off times are the same as those of marathon category of Shaoxing International Marathon.
